DE BLAUWE TULP is a unique handmade shopper. Vegtanned leather, sourced from Trace Your Leather Cooperative (TLC). Katia Plewnia, owner of LABOUR OF ART - Leather Goods, is the designer and maker of this bag. Hand dyed in own atelier with a natural homemade dye. The design evolved from the material with all its original characteristics as the irregular outlines and features of the cowhide. The pure and simple aesthetics stand out by itself, with handstiched details. The form resembles a typical dutch tulip, raw yet gracious bloeming in every season of the year.

DE BLAUWE TULP is een unieke, met de hand gemaakte tas. Het gebruikte leer is traceerbaar en eerlijk product, afkomstig van Trace Your Leather Cooperative (TLC). Katia Plewnia, eigenaar van LABOUR OF ART - Leather Goods, is ontwerper en maker. Het aangeleverde leer heeft Katia in haar atelier in Utrecht, met een natuurlijke kleurstof, met de hand geverfd. Het ontwerp van de shopper is onstaan vanuit het materiaal zelf, met al zijn oorspronkelijke karakteristieken zoals de rafelranden en kenmerken van de koeienhuid. De stijl blinkt uit in eenvoud, details zijn met de hand genaaid. De vorm van de shopper doet sterk denken aan de oer Hollandse tulp, stoer maar ook gracieus en deze tulp doet het goed in elk seizoen!
